HEALTH PROGRAM
Within a few weeks of having opened two schools, we began to notice a high level of absenteeism due to illness. At that time, one of the girls died from malaria. We realized that health care had to be our first priority. We decided to add a clinic to each school in order to offer the medical assistance needed, not only for the children but also for the rest of their families. Since then, more than 20,000 people have attended and have received treatment from the Sabera Foundation.

We have developed the following projects:
- One D.O.T. (Directly Observed Treatment Center) for tuberculosis, which assists more than 2,000 patients per year.
- One Mobile Clinic, which offers assistance to the small villages unattended by the Public Health System.
- One residence for twenty handicapped children.
- One hospital
Spanish companies and individual donors sponsor all the projects of this program.
